Connect with Nature
Description: Come spend time with the earth in a slow and deliberate way. Explore ways the earth endlessly, patiently and bountifully gives to its human neighbors. Explore ways humans can connect with the earth in the ways of gratitude, reciprocity, kindness, and collaboration. The long-term health of humans and earth are tightly linked.
Nature Therapy Guide Hughes Kraft and Naturalist Jack Flanagan are combining efforts to offer you an opportunity to prepare for EARTH DAY, April 22nd, by connecting deeply with nature. Their complementary practices of appreciating sensory experiences while moving mindfully outdoors will make for a unique experience.
This three-hour experience will be in the woods and fields of Pineland Farms. Dress warm. Be prepared to be outside for 3 hours. Snacks and tea will be provided.
Hughes Kraft is a Certified Nature Therapy Guide, writer and psychotherapist with a private practice in Portland, Maine. He enjoys sharing ways to build bridges between the human and more than human world.
Jack Flanagan is a psychotherapist in group practice with Wellspace Maine. He has an oddly varied career as an outdoor educator, guide, carpenter, corporate trainer and counselor. He enjoys promoting curiosity in nature without a guidebook.
